In 2020, Malaysia for Syria has successfully developed another bakery in Azzaz, Syria to reduce the percentage of refugees who go hungry every day. Funds totaling RM215,635 from the contributions of Malaysians have been used for the construction of the Al-Rizq Bread Factory which costs almost RM300,000 for its operating costs. The bakery produces more than 60 tons of bread every month and will benefit nearly 1,100 Syrian refugee families and employ 8 to 10 workers.
